UPDATES

Assalamualaikum & Hello everyone!

It has been a hectic few months for me, so forgive me for not updating much on this blog. Truth is, it's easier to make updates via Facebook and a lot of customers reach me through FB too. The picture albums there are more organized, so head over there for much easier viewing of my previous work, OK.

Now, I've never mentioned it here, but I can also provide special dietary cakes and cupcakes. So if you're in Penang and looking for something vegan (eggless & dairy-free) or gluten-free (no flour) or sugarless/sugar-free, do shoot me an email and we'll talk.

Deliveries to Penang Island and surrounding areas is still available, but due to rising costs, I'll have to increase the delivery charge. You would understand, right? The fuel, time, energy, not to mention, vehicle maintenance, and the worst of all, traffic jams - they can just zap you dry :)

Hugs & kisses to all my loyal customers. Love you guys lots!

Liplickin' Cookies & Goodies

I'm kicking off this year's promotion for our charity drive for Dewanita and PDK Permatang Damar Laut with an assortment of raya cookies.

Choc Chip Spotties are my family's staple cookies for Raya. They look like choc chip cookies, taste almost like choc chip cookies, but there's a secret ingredient ;)

We've adapted recipe to our preference and now I'm sharing this wonderful cookie with everyone. My cookies come in a glass jar, coz I hate to give people those cheap plastic jars. These glass jar will come in a lot more handy in the kitchen once the cookies are gone :D

These cookies are RM25 per jar, approximately 350g.

Strawberry Chip Spotties - this cookie is my own reinvention of the original recipe of Choc Chip Spotties.. coz I love pink so much :D :D

The following are cookies available at my aunty's place, Ryal Sweet Shoppe. All cookies are of high quality ingredients and homemade. And they all passed the taste test ;) so don't succumb to those sub-par cookies that might end up tasting 'all the same'. I don't make these cookies on my own. These are products of Bumiputera entrepreneurs and this is my way of helping them market their products.

For easy viewing, please click my facebook Raya Cookies 2011 album to view the cookies for sale. For order inquiries, you can drop me an email at raggedyanne79@gmail.com or leave a message on my FB page. I'm working on a proper order form, so I'll announce when it's ready.

Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese & dipped in choc ganache for the owls

Baby Akim Turns Two!

Not many knows that my daughter Nunu has a little brother - whom is not my son.

Baby Akim was very close to Nunu when she was at her previous kindy. He's the kindy principal's son, and he adores Kakak Nunu to the max. Even the principal's parents took a liking to Nunu.

Now that Nunu goes to another school, I was told by his mom that Baby Akim misses his Kakak Nunu every now and then.

Tapi bila jumpa masa birthday party dia ni boleh buat-buat blur pulak! Haha... kids.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Akim. Kak Nunu & Aunty Anne love you veeeeery much! Muacks!

A Promise I Make

My sweet sister, Cik Apple Mint ordered these as a gift for her friend who was getting engaged.

We didn't get much information on the theme colour, so she gave me the creative license and thankfully, the colour combination I chose matched exactly with the ribbons when Cik Apple came by later with the hantaran box.

Thank you Cik Apple Mint! I hope you friend and her fiance were happy with this precious gift from you.

DC Inspired

Aina, the mother-to-be planned to surprise her husband with some cupcakes with simple ganache swirls inspired by DC Cupcakes. They were a mix of chocolatey cupcakes, haffa jaffa, chocolate mod mint & chocolate mocha.

But it wasn't such a surprise lah kan since you guys had to wait for me to deliver these cuppiess at the petrol station. Quite a long wait pulak tu. Sorry dear, I drive like kura-kura sometimes, you know!

Anyway, hope both of you liked the cuppies... eh lupa, baby in the tummy too!

Si Baldu Merah

Linda, a friend of Aida a.k.a The Coffee Addicts, ordered a red velvet cake just for makan-makan. There's not much of a story here to share except for while waiting for her in the car to pick up the cake, it got so hot that I was tempted to get some ice-cream at a nearby ice-cream shop.

When she arrived, she had to help me hold my melting ice-cream cone so that I could get the cake out of the car, so that was hilarious :D

The feedback that I got from Linda and her family was awesome. Thanks Linda for the graciousness, and thank you Aida for spreading the sweet lovin' ;)

For Yasmin

Posted by Picasa

I've forgotten about this set of cupcakes which I made for my cousin,Yasmin aka Syamin born 13 years ago on May 12th. I remember that date clearly because, in my family on my father's side, she's the first cousin and we were all very excited to welcome her. I am very close to her mom, my aunty by right, but we're more like sisters due to our close age gap. Seeing the little baby for the first time was just indescribable, and I was there for most part of her pantang days so that I could help out my aunty manage her firstborn.

I was just required to make very simple & pastel design for her, but what was lack in style and creativity, I definitely made up for in flavour and taste! Each row of the cuppies were made of different flavours, which I can't remember now. Isk, my brain's slowly degeneratinglah... but I do remember there were rosewater pistachio, strawberry and cherry almond. These cuppies were shared with her friends at MRSM Balik Pulau, and from what I heard, the girls looooooved them!

A happy belated birthday to my beloved, Syatirah Yasmin.

Red Beauties 2

Alamak, cobwebs everywhere in my blog! It's been really hectic and the slow broadband is just driving me bonkers!

These were Aina's red velvet which delivered all the way to INTAN, Sungai Petani. Seeing the glow on the expecting mother-to-be when she saw her box of beauties made me just beam. And her sms waxing lyrical about how awesome the beauties tasted made me just beam inside out.

Thanks dearest Aina. I hope mommy & baby inside is all a-glowing with happiness!
