I had some luck as well as some misfortune while making this set. I had enough carrots to make the carrot walnut-white choc cupcakes, but the fondant didn't appear as 'gold' as I wanted to be. Perhaps with some edible gold dust, they would look much nicer. But I was fortunate enough to have found a charming little genius invention called the tart mould in the shape of a lattice heart, so my heart shaped fondant deco looked very sweet indeed.
But my worst luck was the mistake of purchasing that plasticky signage "Selamat Bertunang" instead of "Selamat Pengantin Baru". My bad for thinking that all the signs in that little box at the bakery supplies shop says "Selamat Pengantin Baru" and didn't check at the payment counter.
So, I only realized my mistake at around 5 pm, so I rushed everything because the store closes at 7 pm. It rained garfields and odies when I arrived at the store just minutes before it closed to get the right sign. Although I managed to solve the problem, I was feeling jittery and nervous the entire time coz I was driving my husband's car that was extremely low on fuel and I had no time to stop for gas. Delivering the cupcakes through the dark and stormy night along an eerie route lined with palm trees did things to my nerves and contributed to really depressing thoughts (probably because I was late for picking up my daughter and I also needed to pee real bad!), but thank heavens it was easy to look for Diyana's home and I made it safely there by 7.30 pm.
I really hope she and her family love these cupcakes, coz I went through h*** and back for them.
